Club members in the spotlight – Pam

Why did you join the MioLi club?
I came across a Facebook posting in March 2020 during lockdown and thought I’d give the exercises a try, in my bedroom. Enjoyed the videos so much that I joined the club and haven’t looked back since. Have now moved down to my kitchen, which isn’t carpeted and much better to exercise on. So for the first time ever in my 71 years am doing regular work outs! Thoroughly enjoying myself, actually managing to lose over a stone since mid January this year, following all the healthy tips given on the club. So cannot say how grateful I am to have found Move it or Lose it. Long may it continue.

Have you got any hobbies?
Reading, cycling, swimming and still enjoy cooking.

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done?
Apart from producing two healthy children, looping the loop on a Blackpool roller coaster in the 70’s, called Somebody’s Bluff!.. wouldn’t do that now.

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Putting a slug of Baileys in my latte!

What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t wish yourself older, time seems to go so much quicker as you age and before you know it, you’re old and a grandparent! That’s a pleasure in itself! but you find yourself unable to keep up with them!

What one piece of advice would you give to your grandchildren?
Make the most of every opportunity, think for yourself and don’t follow the crowd, be your own person. Be happy.
